A necessary stop in the Stowe area! Enjoy hot and fresh apple cider donuts - only 75 cents each!! The hot apple cider was also delicious. Great store with local artisanal products, too. Worth a visit if you’re in the area!
Cold Hollow Cider Mill is a decent place to visit, but there's not much to see and do (the brochures are a bit misleading on this point). There is a nice little shop with different jams and other products produced at the mill along with touristy souvenirs and novelties. This is a small cafe where you can enjoy cider, coffee, and their "world famous" cider donut.
Enjoyed learning how they make cider. We appreciated the free samples which lead us to our purchases. Everything was delicious! We purchased the cider as well as their spiced applebutter and cider vinaigrette. The cider donuts were good too. They may have been better with an apple or maple glaze. If we are in the area again we will return!
Fantastic experience! The process of making apple cider can be watched up close, and the apple cider is sampled. The sweet aroma of their famous apple cider donuts is a reason alone to visit this lovely mill. Their gift shop is very cute, and you can observe bees in their hive. Their bakery is well stocked and includes gluten free options! I would definitely visit here time and time again.
They do get a 5 Star for shipping goods as the items we sent back to our families arrived quickly and fresh!
Great store! My wife and I visited the week we eloped in Stowe and brought back goodies for our families. The apples, cider, honey and maple syrup were delicious and the cider donuts were pretty good.
The only suggestion for a 5 star rating is that we would LOVE for there to be an option to have some of your cider donuts rolled in sugar. Growing up in the Midwest, we always chose which apple orchard we went to based off the best sugar cider donuts!
